One last look at Snowshoe the Bear

With Spring at our doorstep one last look at Snowshoe the Bear. Turns out I came in
5th out of a field of 41. I was suprised! I found the following video on youtube. The snowshoe was the first in a series of events to "Conquer The Bear". Other events include a mountain bike race, lake paddle, and Big Bear Marathon. Sounds intriguing. I wonder how much to rent a canoe?

Dear Friends,

Thanks for stopping by to check out my training and read some of the randomness. On April 18, 2009 I crossed the finish line of my first ultra marathon....The Leona Divide 50 Miler. On August 8, 2009 ran the Mt. Disappointment 50K. Training for and competing in these events were rewarding to say the least. The journey continues as I continue to train for endurance runs of 50 miles and more.

In a nutshell I'm doing this to test my perceived physical and mental limitations. I'm also wrapping a fundraising campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society around these adventures. I know for a fact that this organization has saved lives and has helped thousands of families who are facing the challenge of their lives.

I'm running 50 miles and more in honor of the loved ones we have lost and those who continue to survive and thrive.

This is not a solo journey. I appreciate your support; both in terms of the dollars you donate to LLS and your words of encouragement.
